These are the best pool contractors in the area . They told us when they would start how long it would take and the work was outstanding. They fixed any questions we had about the work and have helped us after they finished buy helping us to expand our deck and helping us find someone to to maintain the pool for us.

The Tilney Pool Company met and surpassed our expectations of having a custom pool built and believe it or not, it was completed ahead of schedule too. I was very skeptical about having a pool built especially with all of the horror stories in the news lately about fraudulent builders and pool builders that leave jobs unfinished leaving people with a pond in their backyard filled with mosquitos.
I did my due diligence, checked County Civil Court Records, Better Business Bureau and local City Code issues on several pool companies in the Tampa Bay Area. I chose the Tilney Pool Company based on my findings and we were very glad that we did.
The owner Doug (who shows up at the job site) and Drew (who checks on everything during the process of the build ) were fantastic to deal with. The company is run very professionally and the work crews show up on time and when scheduled. If there is a scheduling issue you will hear from Drew to inform you ahead of time about it.
Our pool was completed ahead of schedule and was finished exactly how the drawings were presented to us. The fit and finish of the pools is great as were the pavers for the decking and the mechanical parts as well (pump, filter,lighting)
I would highly recommend the Tilney Pool Company to anyone who is looking for a quality product at a fair price and without setbacks or company drama.

Tilney Pools: Absolutely the best experience!
If you’re looking for a new pool you have to call Tilney Pools! We had an older pool removed to get a clean slate for our new pool. John at Tilney made the process so easy, he’s so knowledgeable and communicates through the entire process. County permitting can take a while, however, from start to finish Tilney Pools had us swimming in 58 days!!! The entire Tilney team (Joe, John, Dallas, Cody and Colton) were amazing to work with…so nice, honest and caring about our project. Surprisingly, every subcontractor that Tilney uses were just as nice, as well as the best in their trade. Our pool project turned out beautifully, we could not be happier! Many thanks to Doug Tilney and his team….as John told us in the beginning, “we want you to hug us in the grocery store, not throw tomatoes at us!” Trust me, if you’re looking for a pool start by calling Tilney Pools, you’ll be glad you did!

We just completed our pool renovation with Tilney Pools and could not be happier. Kevin, our project manager, and his team were outstanding. Very responsive to any and all questions and extremely helpful in bringing our much-needed reno design to life.
The crew arrived on their scheduled date, prepared and cleared the old decking, and began installation quickly. They cleaned up after themselves daily and made sure we were informed of what was next in the process.
Our PM Kevin was great to work with from start to finish. He provided us with a great deal of information and was able to guide us through the process with helpful suggestions and answers to our many questions. His attention to detail and professionalism is exceptional.
We were told the project would complete in 4 weeks and they met that date on the nose. How refreshing to have a contractor actually complete a job on time! We now have a beautiful new pool deck and gorgeous pool finish!

From the beginning of our dream to install a pool, Drew was responsive, timely and determined to give us the pool we wanted. We were told a price and timeline. The timeline was 10-12 weeks, which had us swimming about Halloween-time. Many people had told us about the perils of pool construction, so we expected some issues. But, there weren’t any.
The outline was cut on July 24th. We were swimming on September 22nd. On budget. Drew was professional, communicative and visited the job site often to ensure the project was moving properly. We got the pool of our dreams, and actually more. Very happy with the performance and quality of Tilney Pools, and have already made several referrals to others.

We would choose Tilney Pools 10/10 times… they were FANTASTIC to work with, and our pool/deck build is a dream come true. We selected Tilney based on their quality of design and professionalism during the “interview” process, and they over-delivered every step of the way. The quality of the craftsmanship is amazing, the design is stunning, the timeline was on target, and the people are awesome. They’ve even stepped up to help us diagnose any issues that have arisen after the pool was complete (issues caused by operator error or wifi glitches, not as a result of the pool equipment). We highly recommend Tilney and are so glad we chose to work with them! (The image doesn’t do the pool justice.)
The family hired Tilney pools to remodel my elderly mothers pool. Kevin met with my mother and made her feel comfortable throughout the remodel. Any problem that was discovered was taken care of immediately. The project personnel were always professional and courteous. There was never any debris left behind anytime work was completed. We had just purchased our home and our yard needed a lot of TLC. Being from up north, we definitely wanted a pool. We interviewed and received quotes from 3 other pool builders. I felt like we were talking to used car salesmen trying to make their quotas to get a free trip! One of them even told us just that! Feeling discouraged, we made one more phone call to get one more quote. We called Tilney Pools. Doug came out and designed the perfect pool for us. He is a pro! I’ve dealt with several other pool companies in my time, and none have been anywhere near the level of quality and skill as Tilney Pools, and they actually finished the project a week ahead of projection. Kevin G was an amazing rep; he took time to sit down, go through material and color scheme, answered all of my questions, and gave me great advice. Ask for Kevin and make sure you use Tilney Pools for a great outcome.

We definitely did our due diligence with deciding on who to use for our pool resurfacing project and chose Tilney Pools. They were not the least expensive option, but they were competitively priced with the other pool companies that we contacted. However, from the initial contact there was no question that they would deliver a top quality product. The owner, Doug, was very knowledgeable and professional. I just want to share some insider information on these guys. We own a pool cleaning company and work with several local builders. Tilney Pools is setting the stage for other builders to follow. We know quality construction when we see it and these guys definitely focus on quality. They care about and take pride in their work and most other builders only care about making money. It’s truly a pleasure cleaning a Tilney Pool. Not all builders are equal. You need to be really careful when choosing a builder and you’ll be in good hands with these guys. Give them a call you’ll be glad you did.

I usually don’t write reviews but this pool company is the best company I have ever worked with in all the years of me dealing with home contractors. From Doug the owner and all his great employees they all act like there doing a pool for one of there family members. Doug told me a time frame and he delivered. Doug is the owner of Tilney pools and was always stopping by to make sure that me and my wife were happy and always would call or text to give us updates on every step of the process.It only would let me do 5 stars or it would have been 10! Getting a pool installed is a big project and I am so glad I did my homework and picked Tileny pools there a Licensed home and commercial pool builder that GETS IT DONE RIGHT ! I just moved into a home with a leaking pool with green water. I knew nothing about pools at the time. The friendly professionals at Tilney pools helped me to solve my problems and redesign my pool. It has been exactly 1 year since Tilney Pools completed our project. John was our designer and main point of contact. We bid our pool out to multiple builders but Tilney we felt most comfortable and transparent. Our pool turned out exactly how we imagined it to be.

I will say that if you’re a extremely picky person you will find issues with any contractor. No company is perfect but Tilney is definitely someone I would recommend you communicate with if you want a pool built. If you have your finances in order the process is even more seamless. If we ever need another pool built or a reno, Tilney would be my first call.
I wanted to express my sincere gratitude and appreciation for the outstanding work Tilney Pools did building my pool. This was a much longer process than anyone anticipated. After contacting Tilney to design my pool, the first step was to request the utility survey. To our surprise we discovered a Duke power line buried in my yard – 10 feet outside of their easement! It took over 2 years for Duke to finally move the power line. Tilney stuck with me the whole way, pushing Duke for updates and progress reports, and even going through several rounds of revisions on the plan (sorry John, that’s what happens when I’m left to my own devices). Once Duke gave the approval for us to begin, Tilney was out the very next week to start with the initial grading. 8 weeks later, my wife and I have our own little slice of paradise right in our back yard! I had lots of questions along the way, and the best piece of advice John Dadswell gave me was to trust the process. And boy was he right! Each successive crew that came out to do their part of the project were true masters at their craft. Every step of the way you could see the quality of their work, and the attention to detail. Doug Tilney and John Dadswell came out periodically throughout the build to survey progress and touch base with me. I truly appreciate the personal touch that a family owned business can provide. I highly recommend anyone looking to build a new pool to contact Tilney Pools. They did an awesome job for me!

If you’re reading this review, you must be looking for a company to install your pool. LOOK NO FURTHER! My two neighbors had pools put in and both took a year for completion. That made me very nervous, but after reading the reviews on Tinley pools, we decided to go with them, best decision we ever made! From the beginning starting with obtaining a permit, Kaylee doing all the work to get it done and she even got it earlier than expected. Working with John Was nothing less than awesome ,seeing that I changed everything at least once. He and Doug are very knowledgeable and guided us through the whole process. It was 6 weeks after the permit and my pool was full of water. Everything that John said was going to happen in the timeline happened. If you need to call, more often than not they answer the phone, if you had to leave a message I don’t think we waited more than an hour for someone to get back to us. Even our contractor working on our house commented on how quick and smooth the pool process was and he is now going to start using them himself along with recommending them to his clients. oh by the way, did I mention how fabulous my pool came out! Fastest in the business! John told us we’d be swimming in 10 weeks and the team held true to it! Other companies were just getting back to us to get us on the schedule, and Tilney was already finished!
The result was a beautiful pool, custom to our backyard, making the space feel like an oasis. Doug and John really know the pool business, which provided a huge relief that we were not dealing with some random company that would leave us hanging halfway through.

Tilney pools was amazing to work with . We refinished an existing pool and deck, not only was the completed work fantastic their customer service was impeccable . Everyone working on the project was polite , cleaned up after themselves, came when they were supposed to and was very hard working .
The pool was old and original so we expected a few surprises, they handled all of these challenges with grace and did not stop until our vision came to light .
Kevin was wonderful to work with , he was very professional and listened to all of our concerns through out the process. We appreciated he input his professional opinion when selecting material etc. We also felt very supported by management during this project which I find unique to small businesses .
We received many quotes and Tilney was very reasonably priced and they responded quickly .I would recommend Tilney to anyone searching for someone to work on their project .

We had about 5 companies quote the process with us and Tilney Pools was very fair and competitive. On top of that, I had three friends in the area start a new pool build around the same time and we were the first ones out of the group to swim (one friend still has a dirt deck and no tile in). When I say amazing it doesn’t begin to describe my experience with Tilney. John and the crew were professional and worked to get my pool done as quickly as possible. I was told 10-12 weeks everytime I asked about time to build because I hear nightmares from friends about delays. Well 5 weeks into the process we were waiting on surfacing and we could fill. All in all 7 weeks into the build and I’m swimming. I would recommend Tilney for any pool need small and large. I’ll add some photos later but I couldn’t be happier. Now off to enjoy this beautifully created monstrosity of a hot tub I had them design.

Honest. Reliable. Overall excellent experience. Like most people, I contacted multiple companies for quotes. From my very first meeting with John, I clearly recognized the difference between this company and others. While others claimed to provide custom pools they delivered a basic design you’d find from any fiberglass pool company. John took the time to ask about our lifestyle and what we’d be using the pool for. He even asked about our dog to be sure he was taken into consideration. When it came time to select finishes, he was very honest about the pros and cons of different options even when he could have easily sold me an upcharge. Through the many obstacles we faced due to the city they continued to help work through the challenges even though it was no fault of their own. As far as timeline and construction, they definitely under promised and over delivered. I can’t recommend Tilney enough.

We did not have ONE issue and when we would call Doug with what we thought was an issue he was quick to respond, no waiting 2 to 3 days or weeks to hear from our contractor.
Even now after two months after the pool has been completed any question we have we get the same service AMAZING!!!!

Doug was great from start to finish with our project. He saw our vision and maximized the space in our backyard. We couldn’t believe how much space we actually had. Doug walked us through every step of the process giving us timelines on everything upcoming. Any questions or last minute changes to design Doug was always available and eager to make our pool exactly how we wanted it. The Quality of their work is top notch.
